The Voting Process: A Collaborative Effort
This year, 192 program directors, corporate executives, and format consultants participated in the voting, surpassing last year's 173. While a few were absent, the overall support was outstanding. Our voters represent companies like iHeartMedia, Audacy, Cumulus Media, Beasley Media, and numerous consultancies, ensuring input from all areas of the country and preventing favoritism.
The AC/Hot AC Radio Shows: A Competitive Field
239 AC/Hot AC radio shows earned votes this year. We used a point system, with 1st place votes earning 20 points and subsequent selections earning two points less. This process showcases the industry's best, and we're excited to present the results.
And the Winner Is... Karson & Kennedy of Mix 104.1 in Boston!
Karson & Kennedy of Mix 104.1 in Boston secured the top spot, marking their second consecutive category victory in the Top 20 series. Their well-deserved recognition highlights the excellence of their show. We extend our congratulations to Karson, Kennedy, and the entire Mix 104.1 team.
Additional Notes: A Close Race for the Top 20
Karson & Kennedy scored 17 points more than Ellen K., with both shows tied for the most first-place votes. The remaining spots from 21-25 went to Mercedes in the Morning, Kramer & Jess, John Tesh, Wendy Wilde, and Miguel & Holly. The closest race was between Bret Meagerding and Sean Copeland, with Bret edging out by one point for 19th place.
