This claim came to light through a post on Facebook, where Singson showcased a picture featuring himself, his daughter—Congresswoman Richelle Singson—and former Miss Universe Vice President Shawn McClain.
In his post, Singson noted, "[McClain] updated us with possible acquisition talks on Miss Universe Organization." He expressed gratitude towards McClain for the visit and hinted at future dialogues with what he termed "the rightful owners, the creditors they defrauded."
Singson went even further, asserting that MUO is "no longer under the ownership" of Anne Jakrajutatip or Raul Rocha. He ominously added, "In fact, they both have arrest warrants against them!" This statement raises eyebrows and could lead to intense discussions about accountability and leadership within high-profile organizations.
In response to these statements, the Miss Universe Organization quickly issued a rebuttal, firmly rejecting what they called "false and misleading claims about its ownership and leadership." The organization emphasized, "These statements appear to be designed to misrepresent ownership, falsely suggest acquisition or purchasing opportunities, and create confusion." They accused Singson of attempting to deceive the public, improperly solicit investments, and exploit the Miss Universe brand for personal gain.
The MUO reassured its stakeholders that it remains under its current ownership and management. Furthermore, they announced that they are consulting with legal advisors to address any false or unauthorized assertions effectively.
This situation escalated when Raul Rocha reposted the MUO's statement on Instagram Stories, adding his own critique of unnamed individuals, presumably aimed at Singson and his daughter. In his message, Rocha expressed his frustration: "I’m fed up with that delusional fool and his daughter making statements, dreaming of something he wouldn’t be able to achieve in a hundred years. Keep dreaming; my lawyers will put an end to your fairy tales."
